AMSA recently changed regulations and passed on responsibility of surveying commercial vessels to independent surveyors. Since the change we have been using Maritime Survey Australia. They are Marine Surveyors who are accredited with both AMSA and the certifying authority of The International Institute of Marine Surveyors.
